Like many of our seniors this year, Jenna's story at BG Christian began in Kindergarten, and it's been a journey filled with growth, challenges, and cherished memories. Discover more about the impact her schooling had on her in this Senior Spotlight...
Jenna wasn't just a student – she was deeply involved in school life. From sports like volleyball and basketball to clubs like National Honor Society and even chess club, she explored her interests and talents. One of her highlights? Being part of the worship team, a testament to her faith that played a central role in her experience.
But BG Christian wasn't just about activities for her. It was about the guiding lights who helped Jenna navigate her path. Teachers like Mrs. Mattingly offered unwavering support, especially during difficult times, while Mr. Baney instilled in her the importance of looking to her faith during times of struggle.
Jenna's accomplishments go beyond grades. Surviving mom as a math teacher and a cousin as a science teacher (all in good humor!) speaks volumes about her resilience. But it's her dedication to sports like basketball and volleyball that she's most proud of. These experiences, she says, "helped shape me into the person I am today."
Speaking of shaping memories, Jenna can't forget 5th-grade camp. Even after getting sick and leaving early, her biggest concern was maintaining perfect attendance! This anecdote, along with her fondness for the 6th and 7th-grade trips and her star appearance in a Flag Corps performance, showcase the lasting friendships and experiences BG Christian fostered.
One thing Jenna hopes never changes? The vibrant worship team and the impactful student council. These aspects of school life hold a special place in her heart.
As for her future, Jenna's path is clear. Inspired by her career and life management classes, and solidified by her experience as an STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant), Jenna is heading to BGSU to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. With her care and passion for others, we at BG Christian have no doubt she'll excel, and we wish her all the best as she embarks on this exciting new chapter!
