3 to 5 Years-Old
Preschool
As your child approaches preschool, you’re probably as excited as you are nervous.
Preschool means your child will learn new skills, make friends, and establish an early academic foundation. As a parent, you know these early years are about so much more than kindergarten readiness; it’s also a time for instilling in your child the confidence and security needed to be successful inside and outside the classroom.
Our goal at BG Christian Academy Preschool is to provide a safe, loving environment for our littlest Lions to develop. Not only will your preschooler be developing pre-academic skills for future success in reading, writing, and math, they will also be growing socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Our play-based, christ-centered program creates connection and community during these early formative years. We promote curiosity and creativity while partnering with parents on developmental milestones. At BG Christian, your child will be known, loved, and prayed for every day.

All children in our programs enjoy opportunities to learn, grow, and play throughout the day. Class eligibility is determined by the child’s age as of August 31st of the upcoming school year.

Christ-Centered Community
Even our youngest students participate in Bible lessons, worship, and daily prayer. All areas of instruction are approached through a biblical worldview. Our teachers are believers who exercise their faith and values as they model Christian behavior inside and outside the classroom, prioritizing loving God and loving their neighbor.
Play-Based Learning
Preschool students will enjoy a wide variety of sensory and tactile experiences to foster fine and gross motor skills. They are also encouraged to explore their creativity and are introduced to the creative nature of God through music, art, stories, and games.
Well-Rounded Development
At each level, students will be working to develop age-appropriate pre-academic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Our program also fosters students' social, emotional, and spiritual growth.
Meet a Teacher
Mrs. Kathy Watkins
Classes Taught: Jr. Lions 3 Day and Cubs
Experience: 18 years teaching both public and private in Kentucky, Texas, and Ohio
Mrs. Watkins, a graduate of Cedarville University with a BA and Masters in Elementary Education, found a special place at BG Christian when she enrolled her three children. Witnessing the teachers' dedication to their academic and spiritual growth, she felt a calling to join the team when the opportunity arose. Mrs. Watkins enjoys exploring new destinations and embarking on adventures with her family. When she's not busy with that, she's likely curled up with a good book, tending to her garden, tackling a puzzle, or hitting the nature trails.
