New Staff Spotlight: Nick Yates, High School Social Studies

A strong community is the foundation of a successful school. At BG Christian, we believe in a culture of mutual support that helps everyone—from students to staff—feel prepared and set up for success. With today's New Staff Spotlight, we are thrilled to introduce our new High School Social Studies teacher, Mr. Nick Yates, who was drawn to BG Christian by this very culture.

With a focus on developing "competent, curious, and Christ-centered adults," Mr. Yates brings a forward-thinking approach to his classroom. He is particularly interested in using technology in a safe and appropriate way to enhance learning. A musician and community theater volunteer, Mr. Yates brings unique talents to our community. He has even performed in community theater productions with our very own Mrs. Shaffer!

Mr. Yates plans to live out our mission by presenting himself as a disciple of Christ in his daily life and actions. He hopes to help students understand that their actions and words have the power to reinforce their identity in Christ. We are so excited to have his thoughtful, Christ-centered leadership in our high school.
