At BG Christian, our mission is to partner with Christian families to develop life-long disciples who know their unique identity and purpose in Christ. The start of a new school year brings a lot of details, and we want this page to serve as a simple place to find the information, contacts, and next steps you need.

Email Updates
You will receive regular school emails with important reminders, upcoming events, and school-wide updates.

Office Hours
The school office is open from Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for general questions. Dial 419-354-2422 and select your campus, or press zero to connect with our administration office.
*Upper Campus office is open by 7:40a and closes at 3:30p
In Person
Sometimes face-to-face is best, and we are happy to assist you! Please feel free to visit your campus office anytime. As a request, if you need to speak with a teacher or staff member during drop-off or pick-up, please park in the designated lot and come into the building. This helps keep traffic moving safely for everyone.
Arrival & Dismissal
Safe and consistent routines help students start and end the day well. Please review the procedures for your student’s campus before the first day of school.
Lower Campus Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Elementary Early Morning Care opens at 7:30am to start our program (see link below for EMC details). Students dropped off between 8:30a-8:45a will not be charged. They are released to their classroom at 8:45a, and class begins at 9am.
At the end of the day, students are dismissed from the gym doors at 3:17p.
Preschool Morning Care is available from 8a-8:45a in a separate space from our K-5. This is free of charge. Upon arrival, follow the signs.
*Please review the Lower Campus drop-off and pick-up handout with the link below for traffic flow, timing, and safety expectations.
Students who are dropped off late or picked up early need to be signed in or out at the front desk of their campus building. Parents are asked to come inside the building to do this.
Attendance and Absences
Reporting an Absence
If your child will be absent from school, please report the absence by calling 419-354-2422 and selecting Option 3, or by emailing the office for your student’s campus.
*Lower Campus Attendance: LowerCampus@bgchristian.org
*Upper Campus Attendance: UpperCampus@bgchristian.org
Planned or Anticipated Absences
For planned absences, families are asked to submit an Anticipated Absence Request form.
Anticipated absence requests should be submitted at least 2 days in advance. Extended absence requests should be submitted at least 1 week in advance. Parents will be notified regarding approval status.
Anticipated Absence forms can be found in your FACTS Family Portal under Resource Documents. You can also use the buttons below to access the forms directly.
What Counts as an Excused Absence?
Excused absences include personal illness or injury, medical appointments, death of a relative, or family emergency. Other special situations may be excused with administrative approval.
Excused and unexcused attendance categories help us track attendance accurately and determine how make-up work is handled.
Grades and Student Progress
Student grades are available through the FACTS Family Portal and FACTS Family App. Midterm grades are updated midway through each quarter, and digital grade cards are made available at the end of each quarter. After the school year ends, final grade cards are printed and mailed home.
For Upper Campus students, individual Family Portal accounts are available to help students and families stay connected to homework, assignments, class materials, and overall progress throughout the year.
Events and Student Life
Throughout the year, students may participate in events and activities that happen outside the normal school day. These moments are a meaningful part of the BG Christian experience and help students grow in confidence, community, creativity, and purpose. This includes but is not limited to:

Stay Connected on Social Media
Social media is one of the easiest ways to stay connected with daily life at BG Christian. Throughout the year, our main school Facebook and Instagram pages share school stories, classroom highlights, student celebrations, event reminders, and glimpses of how God is at work in our school community.
We also encourage families to follow the BG Christian Athletics Facebook page. This is where you will find athletics-specific updates, including sports schedules, scores, team highlights, and select livestreams. Following all three pages is a great way to stay connected and celebrate with us throughout the year.
What You'll Find
School Highlights
Classroom moments, student celebrations, campus life, and stories from across the BG Christian community.
Athletics Updates
Sports schedules, scores, team highlights, and select livestreams from the BG Christian Athletics Facebook page.
Ways To Share
Following, liking, commenting, and sharing posts helps more families see what God is doing through BG Christian. It is a simple way to support the school and help others learn about our community.
We Are Glad You're Here!
Life can bring plenty of questions, especially at the beginning of something new. Please know that you are not walking through this transition alone. Our team is here to listen, guide, and support your family as your student begins this next step at BG Christian.
We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with your family and look forward to seeing how God continues to shape your student’s identity, purpose, and growth in Christ!
