At Bowling Green Christian Academy, we believe in fostering a community where students can deepen their relationship with Christ and discover the unique purpose He has for their lives. In today's New Staff Spotlight, we are so excited to welcome our new 3rd Grade teacher, Mrs. Hannah Hosterman, who was drawn to BG Christian because of “the opportunity to teach my students not only academic content, but about the Lord.” She also shares that the staff she’s encountered have been “incredible and so supportive,” making her feel right at home.
In her classroom, Hannah’s heart is clear: “To deepen their relationship with Christ, to develop a love for learning, and to authentically experience community.” She is passionate about going beyond textbooks, intentionally weaving faith into everyday moments. “I’m really passionate about teaching students practical life skills through experiences and conversations,” she explains. “I’m super excited to intentionally design moments to teach students about Biblical approaches to ordinary life situations.”
Hannah envisions her classroom as a place where students feel safe to be exactly who God created them to be. “I aspire for our classroom to be a community where all students feel excited to be authentically who God created them to be.” By encouraging each child’s unique gifts and talents, she aims to help students serve others and glorify God in meaningful ways.
A graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education (PK–5), Hannah is equipped to meet students where they are and help them grow academically and spiritually. She believes her calling to teach is a reflection of how God has uniquely prepared her to guide young learners during these foundational years.
Outside the classroom, you can find Hannah playing pickleball, baking sweet treats (just not with apples, peaches, or cherries—she’s allergic!), and spending time with friends and family.
We’re grateful for the impact Hannah is already making as she partners with families to help students grow into confident, Christ-centered learners.
