"My greatest hope is to grow together in unity and relationship as a school body as we strive to meet children's academic goals."
Kelsey Szymanski has joined us for the 2023-2024 school year as our second Kindergarten teacher! With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Toledo, Kelsey brings her many years of experience working with young children and youth through her time at the Northwest Ohio Classical Academy, The Program Inc., and as the lead preschool teacher at her church, as well as many leadership roles through her career. Help us welcome Mrs. Szymanski as you get to know more about her in the Staff Spotlight below!
What do you hope for in regards to this school year?
My greatest hope is to grow together in unity and relationship as a school body as we strive to meet children's academic goals. I pray children develop a greater understanding of God's love, truth, and promises through the teaching of His word.
What made you choose to work at BG Christian?
I chose BG Christian because I am passionate about raising up a generation of spiritual giants to take territory for the kingdom of God. I not only want children to grow in the wisdom and knowledge of God as they get God's word hidden in their hearts. I truly want children to have a biblical worldview, strengthened to bring others closer to God, and become great servants of The Lord and His church.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy serving in the community where I volunteer my time in my local church as the lead preschool teacher. I also help lead and organize for a nonprofit, The Program Inc., which helps serve young men growing up in father absent homes. However, my greatest time is spent with my 7 year old nephew, Greyson, who I have the privilege of helping to raise. He is the light of my life and we love to spend time outdoors together!
What's an interesting fact for people to know about you?
Fun facts about me - I lost over 100 lbs last year through intermittent fasting and ALOT of walking. I’m allergic to oranges, I've never been stung by a bee, and I've never had a cavity.
