— A Leader with Purpose and Poise
BG Christian Senior Spotlight | Christian education | life-long discipleship

When Samantha Fecht first walked into Bowling Green Christian Academy as a 10th grader, it didn’t take long for her to leave her mark. Three years later, she’s graduating as a confident leader, a dedicated student, and a living example of BG Christian’s mission to partner with Christian families to develop life-long disciples who know their unique identity and purpose in Christ.
Samantha quickly immersed herself in campus life, balancing her academic rigor with a healthy dose of school spirit. Whether she was twirling as a proud member of the Flag Corps or helping shape student life on Student Council, Samantha’s quiet leadership and thoughtful presence set the tone for others. She wasn’t just busy — she was intentional, building relationships and experiences that reflected her deep faith and strong sense of purpose.
Academically, Samantha didn’t just take the road less traveled—she practically paved a new lane. Through College Credit Plus (CCP), she challenged herself with college-level coursework while still in high school, an accomplishment she counts among her proudest. “I feel ready for college,” she says confidently—and her scholarship offers certainly back her up. Samantha has been awarded over $240,000 in scholarships, including the $144,000 Presidential Scholarship from Saint Mary’s College (her next academic home), as well as awards from Wright State University, BGSU, and Miami University.
Of course, no senior spotlight would be complete without highlighting the mentors who helped light the path. Samantha credits Mrs. Magrum, whose constant support and encouragement made a lasting impact, both academically and personally. Mr. Williams’ humor and insightful Bible teaching added another layer of depth, making faith and learning feel like natural companions. These relationships remind us all of the powerful connection between Christian education and life-long discipleship—where students are known, loved, and challenged to grow in Christ.
When asked about her favorite BG Christian memory, Samantha smiles as she recalls the senior trip to Cincinnati. It’s a reminder that sometimes the best moments happen when you’re off-campus with friends, exploring new places, and making memories that last well beyond graduation day.
Looking back, Samantha hopes BG Christian always keeps its current dress code (after all, jeans can spark just as much joy as a favorite Bible verse). And looking ahead, she has a clear-eyed vision for how BG Christian can continue growing—through expanding electives and an even more robust science curriculum for future students. That thoughtful feedback reflects her heart to make things better for the next generation, just as others invested in her.
As Samantha steps into the next chapter at Saint Mary’s College, majoring in accounting, we’re confident she’ll bring her signature blend of diligence, kindness, and quiet strength wherever God leads her. We are so proud of how she has embraced her unique identity and purpose in Christ, and we can’t wait to see how she’ll steward it next.
