Community Day

BG Christian Community Day is a long-standing tradition at Bowling Green Christian Academy, beginning in 2005 as a way for our students to live out their faith through service. Each year, students from preschool through 12th grade step outside the classroom and into the community to serve local organizations and neighbors in meaningful, hands-on ways. Our youngest students collect cookies and snacks to bless our local fire and police departments, or take flowers to bless the nursing staff in the area, while elementary- and upper-grade students take on projects such as cleaning, organizing, and landscaping for area partners.

 

Over the years, our students have served organizations like The Nest, the BG Chamber of Commerce, Woodlane, HerChoice, Brown Bag Food Pantry, Project Hope, Dusty Boots, the Wood County Committee on Aging, BG Parks and Recreation, and many others. Community Day is more than a day of service. It is an opportunity for our students to be the hands and feet of Jesus, putting their faith into action and making a lasting impact in their community.
