Our middle school students competed in this year’s University of Toledo – District Science Fair Day Saturday March 14th. The following students received a Superior rating: 6th grade – Elijah Tebbe, Trena Wiseman, and Anna Zemaitis. 7th grade – Jarret Baldonado and Laurel Bruhl. 8th grade – Hannah Bowlus. Laurel Bruhl also won the Governor’s Thomas Edison Award for Excellence in Student Research-Environmental Science and a $25 cash prize. Jarret Baldonado and Hannah Bowlus both received Honorable Mention for the Outstanding Physics Award grades 7-8, which was $25 cash prize each.Those students that received a Superior Rating are eligible for the State Science Fair in Columbus on May 16th.
The following students received an excellent rating: 6th grade – Jonathan Bowers, Matthew Fyfe, Jack Hise, Hannah Miller, and Cody Thompson. 7th grade – Tyler Barnhart. 8th grade – Kathryn Fyfe. Kathryn was also a winner of The Ohio Soybean Bioscience Award and a $100 cash prize.
