The Drama Class traveled to Toledo last week to visit the backstage happenings at Notre Dame Academy’s production of Oliver. NDA is starting prelim Tech Week as they open Oct 17th. The class toured the theater, the set, the green room, wardrobe storage, and the sound and light booth. Trish Sanders, director, spoke with them as to why she chose a minimalistic stage design to help tell her vision of Oliver. This is what the class has been studying in class – all the tiny details a director uses to tell a story. The class was then able to watch a dance rehearsal scene and see how “smoothly” rehearsals can go!
